Call for Presenters

The Savanna Fire Forum Working Group invite Expressions of Interest from fire managers to share their experience in any of the following themes:

  1. Sharing Our Story (5-10 minutes)
Provide a brief outline of the past season’s work, what worked and didn’t work, challenges and opportunities. Participate in a forum discussion to help fire managers from across north Australia to share knowledge and experiences.

  2. Monitoring and Evaluation (15 minutes, flexible)
Present developments in monitoring and evaluation, including mapping, surveys, measuring co-benefits and reporting.

  3. New developments (15 minutes, flexible)
Discuss new developments in the savanna fire management and carbon industry, such as training, scientific results and policy changes.

  4. Poster session
Present a poster or display highlighting your savanna fire project, fire map or an issue relevant to fire management and the carbon industry.

Presenters could include Indigenous land managers, rangers, fire practitioners, park managers, pastoralists, scientists, program managers or anyone working in the fire management and carbon sector.

In response to the huge level of interest in last year’s forum, we aim to attract a broad and inclusive audience to this year’s forum, so your presentation should be suitable for a general audience.

Presentations and displays will be short-listed by the working group in terms of relevance, level of interest and accessibility.

Expressions of Interest are due by Thursday, December 13. Please include a short description of who you are and what you wish to present in an email or word document and send it through to

The program will be finalised and announced in the New Year.

Please contact Anna Boustead directly on 0417 989 577 or if you have any questions or would like to discuss your proposal.
